Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom NES Game

The NES game Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom, or Ninja Gaiden 3, is an action platformer and is the sequel to the series, and more specifically to the second part - Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos.

In the plot of the third installment, the protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, who is accused of killing Irene Liu tries to find any trace of the cause of her death. As a result, he discovers that a CIA agent has a plan to create mutants, using an interdimensional rift. The plot is quite convoluted and includes references to parts one and two of the game.

The gameplay of Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom is identical to the previous installments and continues their seasoned style. The main character can jump, run, climb walls, and use melee and throwing weapons. Different bonuses are scattered throughout the levels, like health regeneration and weapon upgrades. A new item in Ninja Gaiden 3 is the Dragon Sword, which has a longer range. At the end of each level there will be a boss fight.
