Sonic The Hedgehog

The NES game Sonic The Hedgehog, or "Sonic the Hedgehog", is an arcade platformer that was originally developed on Sega and re-released on the NES and other platforms in the same year.

The plot of the game is that the evil Dr. Ivo is trying to steal six Chaos Emeralds and has all the South Island animals locked up in capsules (robots) for this purpose. The obstacles include traps, spikes, shifting walls, and more.

Each level contains ammo in the form of gold rings, and once a hundred of these rings have been collected, the player gets an extra life. Levels must be completed in a set amount of time; if you are late, the player loses. The whole game is divided into six main zones, each with unique enemies and obstacles. Sonic can attack enemies by curling up in a ball. At the end of each level, the player faces a battle with a robot boss, which Sonic defeats and frees one of the animals.
