    The King&rs.

The plot of King’s Quest V is for the player to get into the role of a king named Graham, who came out for a walk one day from his castle and saw it completely disappear with all its inhabitants. He also noticed someone's figure in a cloak, which contributed to the disappearance of the castle with a magic spell. Immediately after the incident, the king meets a talking owl named Cedric, who tells him that the kidnapping of the sorcerer and the royal family is the work of the evil sorcerer, Mordec. As a result, the king, along with Sadrick, sets out to find the sorcerer in order to get his kingdom and family back.

The gameplay of King’s Quest V at the time of its release was very attractive and new for the NES platform, the character moves through the locations (from screen to screen) by free joystick control. At the same time, the graphics are made in 3D style, and not from the side, as in all previous games of the genre. Otherwise, all the classic features of a quest: you can communicate with the characters around you, ask and answer questions, use items and so on.

On the whole, King’s Quest V once created a sensation and set a new direction in games of similar genre, especially on PC, but on NES it is definitely recommended for all fans of quests and logic games.
