The M.U.L.E. game for NES is a turn-based strategy game developed in 1983 specifically for Atari, and later re-released on various other platforms, including the NES. Although the game is presented as a strategy game, it contains elements of economic simulation.
The story in M.U.L.E., as such, is absent. The essence of the game is that players are on the planet Irata, where the main asset is M.U.L.E. (Multiple Use Labor Element). In general, the players or one player (the game can be played even in four) must collect and use these very MULE. And you have to do it wisely, in some cases you'll have to cooperate with other players, in other cases you'll have to feud.
The players' task is to balance demand and consumption of a valuable item. They do this by buying the necessary goods and selling the ones they don't. You can create a deficit on a certain item by keeping it for yourself, thereby increasing its future value. In general, the game M.U.L.E. quite interesting and not simple, in addition, to play it normally need at least a basic knowledge of English.
