  • The 3-D Battles of WorldRunner, or simply "Battles of WorldRunner", is a 3D projection arcade shooter game for NES. The game was originally developed in Japan in 1987 as Tobidase Daisakusen for the Famicom, and was later re-released in North America on the NES.

The story is set in a 3D arcade game.

In the plot of WorldRunner, the player will have to get into the role of Jack the Runner, who runs around the world and saves various planets from enemy snakes led by the villain Grax. The protagonist has eight planets (levels) to go through, and at the end he has to fight Grax himself.

The main character will have to go through eight planets (levels) and fight Grax himself.

The gameplay for The 3-D Battles of WorldRunner features scrolling, but not your typical side-scrolling but forward rail scrolling,  third-person perspective. Passing the levels is done in time, on the way there are not only a variety of enemies that you can attack or jump over, but also obstacles in the form of canyons, poles, etc. At the end of each level there is a boss battle. Because the game involves constantly scrolling forward, you can't stop your character completely, you can only slow down or speed up.

On the whole, WorldRunner is not a bad toy, and at the time of its release it created a sensation precisely because of the 3D graphics, which at the time were just beginning to develop and were rare.
