Defender of the Crown

The Defender of the Crown game for NES is a strategy game developed in 1986 and later imported to various platforms, including the NES.

The plot of Defender of the Crown takes the player to 1149 England, where, after the death of the king, various clans fight among themselves for the throne of the kingdom. The protagonist of the game, a Saxon by identity, must fight for control of the various territories of the kingdom and seize them all. The opponents are the Norman hordes, from which you must fight back and raid with your own army.

The gameplay of Defender of the Crown boils down to the fact that the player must assemble an army exceeding the number of the enemy and attack. Besides large-scale battles, in Defender of the Crown there is the Knights competition mode where you can win different titles. In general, the game is quite successful, it has beautiful graphics, storyline and music design, but to get all the pleasure of gameplay you need to know English, at least at the basic level.
