The NES game Track & Field or "Athletics" is a sports arcade game released in 1983 in Japan on an arcade arcade machine. In 1987, the game was released on various platforms and appeared in the United States. The original Japanese version, at the time of release, had an official license to the 1984 Olympic Games.

Track & Field is a series of track and field events that includes the 100m race, long jump, triple jump, javelin throw, hurdles, skeet shooting, high jump and archery. The Track & Field game has not only a two-player mode, but also a four-player mode; you can play any competition in turn.

The game Track & Field was received differently by critics, some praised it for its beautiful graphics and innovation in gameplay, some, on the contrary, scolded it and called "joystick killer". Due to this gameplay many critics considered this game worthy of attention, but having nothing to do with sports in general.
While Track & Field is not really all that much of a sports simulation, it has its own unique gameplay and is a fun game to compete with your friends.
