The NES game Captain Tsubasa Vol. II - Super Striker, or Captain Tsubasa 2 Super Striker, is a sports role-playing arcade game developed in Japan as a sequel to the first part.
The plot of Captain Tsubasa Vol. II - Super Striker is about Tsubasa Ozor, the captain of the soccer team, and is a sequel to the first part in which Ozor's team wins the World Cup. This time the team has to play in Brazil. The goal of the protagonist is to win the match in order to get the title of "Super Striker", for this he will have to pass a series of tests.
The main character's goal is to win the match in order to get the title of "Super Striker".
The gameplay of Captain Tsubasa Vol. II - Super Striker gameplay is rather original, you don't have to race the ball around the field like in the standard soccer simulator. Instead of it, the game provides a lot of scenes where the player has to make a decision in this or that situation and the result of the match depends on it. For example, Tsubasa runs towards the opponent's goal and there's a scene where the player has to make a decision of his choice, such as "kick the ball into the left corner of the goal" or "pass the ball to his teammate" and the like.
This game can be attributed as to the sports genre, as well as to the role-playing, unusual implementation of gameplay makes the game worthy of attention. While the English version of the game available on our site sometimes contains a glitch in the fourth game, the English translation allows you to navigate the game and understand what is happening. The glitch is not significant, does not always occur and consists in the appearance of a black screen, instead of animation of the flying ball in the goal.
