  • The Ballblazer game for NES is a futuristic arcade sports game developed in 1984 for the Atari family of computers, and later for other platforms.

Ballblazer's gameplay can be confusing to beginners, but that's just your first impression, because you play the game in 3D, in first-person perspective and controlling the "rotofoil". The aim of the game is quite simple - to get more points by scoring the ball in the opponent's goal. The game can be played alone against the computer or in pairs. The playing field resembles a chessboard, on one side of the field is the player's goal, on the other side of the opponent. The ball can be held by using the force field, as well as knocking out the opponent and throw. The more points you score against your opponent's goal or he scores against yours, the narrower the goal becomes with each goal you score.

In general, not everyone will enjoy Ballblazer. The fact that the newfangled 3D graphics at the time, at this point looks very ridiculous and really strains the eyes. Can not see the edges of the playing field, the gates themselves, in general, the movement occurs almost to the touch. If you want to check out the 3D graphics from 1984, Ballblazer will let you do so.
