The NES game Paperboy 2, or "Paperboy 2", is an arcade newspaper deliveryman simulator and is a sequel to the first part of Paperboy. The second part of the game the developer (Atari) introduced seven years after the first one, but Paperboy 2 really got a change for the better, concerning both gameplay and graphic design.
The challenge for the Paperboy 2 player is the same as in the first game: deliver newspapers to specific houses on the street. It's the same job of a bicycle-riding newsreader who delivers newspapers to each building. Before each mission is shown a map of the street and the houses on it, which should be delivered to the mail. Newspapers should not be thoughtlessly tossed at the right house, and at the front door, as in the first part of the way the newspaper deliveryman meets obstacles in the form of vehicles on the road, running out pedestrians and residents of the houses themselves.
One of the main differences between Paperboy 2 and its first part is the graphic design, it now looks more pleasant, but the main feature of the game is the increase in scale of the map. The streets are longer and wider and you can move around more freely. The houses in the second part can be located not on one side of the street, but two, which complicates the gameplay, but makes it more interesting and closer to reality.
As a whole, Paperboy 2 is an excellent sequel, and if you enjoyed the first game, you'll love the second one.
