The game for NES - Super Spy Hunter or "Super Spy Hunter", is a platform shooter, which was originally developed in Japan, under the name Battle Formula.
The action of the game takes place in the distant year 2525, when the UN countries are attacked by a secret terrorist organization. The CIA sends its best agents to the operation, but they are defeated. Then the CIA hires an unofficial secret agent, codenamed Super Spy Hunter.
The gameplay of the game is implemented in a racing style, the player will have to drive a car equipped with different types of weapons. In order to improve the weapon, you must fire on the red large trucks and collect the fallen out of them bonuses. To get one-time bonuses and improvements you need to fire at the blue ones. Weapon upgrades include such things as increased damage, more shots at a time, and homing projectiles.
The game's levels are divided into locations that include a desert, a canyon, a weapons factory, and more. At the end of each level the player will face a boss battle, including an armored truck, laser launcher, spaceship, rocket and others. Super Spy Hunter has a secret bonus - a Ping-Pong-like mini-game, which requires spending all your life to activate and pressing the "A" button eight times and choosing "Continue" when the choice window appears asking if you want to continue the game.
