The NES game Operation Wolf or Operation Wolf is a scrolling first-person shooter that was originally developed for the arcade machine, but as the game gained popularity it was re-released on various platforms.
In the story Operation Wolf you play as a special forces officer and have to rescue five hostages from the enemy's captivity. There are a total of six missions in the game and they are all connected by a story, Operation Wolf was one of the first shooters to have a storyline. To complete a mission, you need to destroy a certain number of enemies, the number of which is indicated by a counter. The screen is moving and you need to aim and shoot, keeping an eye on the changing environment. The player has a bullet and grenades, in the course of the game you can replenish your ammo by collecting bonuses knocked out of the enemies. The enemies are soldiers and various military equipment - helicopter, tank, etc. At the end of each mission a boss fight awaits you in order to free one of the prisoners. Operation Wolf has a single player mode only, but it supports the light gun.
