  • The Metroid, or simply "Metroid", is a platform action game that was developed and released in Japan on the home computer and later re-released in the U.S. and Europe on other platforms.

    The plot of the game Metroid from the range of science fiction and takes the player to the distant future, where space pirates, seized a spaceship belonging to the Galactic Federation. On the ship are parasitic creatures "Metroids," which can suck the energy out of all living organisms. The pirates want to use the Metroids to take over the universe. As a result, the pirates and their spoils set up a base on the planet Zebes. The Galactic Federation sends a bounty hunter, Samus Aran, into the pirates' lair to destroy the main brain of the pirate base (a biomechanical life form), thereby disrupting the pirates' plans and saving the universe.

    The main character is initially armed with a light beam of limited range and can only jump. Various bonuses are available over the course of the game that not only improve the player's armor and weapons, but also give them additional skills, such as rolling on the ground, which is equivalent to crouching. Additional skills allow you to get into different locations to reach the final goal. The enemies in the game are the same organisms (Metroids), which are various creatures that crawl, fly, explode, etc.
