  • The Metal Gear game for NES is a platform action game originally developed in Japan for the home computer, and later re-released for other platforms.

The plot of Metal Gear tells the story of a special forces fighter, a rookie named Solide Snake. Soled is sent on his very first mission, where he has to sneak into the very lair of the enemy camp and rescue several prisoners from captivity. The gameplay is specific and experimental for that time, the player has to stealth, i.e. to pass quietly everywhere, eliminate unsuspecting opponents, sneak past the guards, etc. If the player gets in sight of the enemy, the alarm goes off and you must get away from enemies as quickly as possible.

In the beginning of the game, Snake has to act with his bare hands, but afterwards you can find a variety of weapons, including one with a silencer, to silently eliminate your enemies. The enemy's base is divided into three buildings, each of which consists of floors. Opening doors and exploring the area requires key cards that are obtained by rescuing hostages.
