The plot of Mega Man 2 is a sequel to the first part. Defeated in the first part, Dr. Vili creates a new set of Robot Masters to defeat Mega Man. The protagonist must destroy eight robots and fight the doctor. The plot of this part ends with the defeat of the villain, who begs for mercy and Megaman does not destroy him.
The gameplay of Megaman 2 is similar to the first part, but the developers added more innovations in the form of an item that can be used to replenish your health at any time. Also the password system was added to save the game's progress. After each completed stage the player is given the password for saving. Aside from the gameplay updates, the developers also improved the graphics and music, which earned great reviews from both gamers and critics.
