Last Action Hero

The NES game Last Action Hero or "The Last Movie Hero", is an action-adventure game developed in 1993 based on the popular, at the time, movie of the same name. The game was developed on the PC as well as various other platforms, including the NES.

The plot of Last Action Hero is similar to that of the movie, with the main character being a schoolboy named Danny. One day, Danny decides to skip school in order to attend the premiere of a highly anticipated movie. While in the theater, watching the movie, Danny is suddenly blinded by a bright flash that makes him lose himself in space. Having come to his senses, the boy realizes he has been in his favorite movie. Then Denis meets his idol, the main character in the film, with whom he begins his dangerous adventures in the world of movies.

The gameplay of Last Action Hero follows all the standards of the game genre: the character can run, squat, jump, kick and punch. The enemies are various gangs, street hooligans and other immoral individuals. Enemies, unlike the main character, can be armed not only with bladed weapons, but also with firearms, as well as grenades, incendiary cocktails, etc.
