Kick Master

The NES game Kick Master, or simply "Kick Master", is a platform action game developed and released originally in Japan and a year later in the US and Europe.

In the game's plot, Laurel's castle is attacked by the witch Belzet, using her monsters and magic to kill the king and queen and kidnap their only daughter, Princess Sylphie. The royal knight Macren and his brother Tonoplan embark on a journey to find the witch's lair in order to rescue the princess. During the journey, during one of the skirmishes with the enemies, Macren is badly wounded by a monster. Before he dies, Macren gives his brother the secret of his super kick and asks him to continue on his journey.

The gameplay of Kick Master resembles that of the Castlevania series. The game has a total of eight levels, at the end of each of which the player will face a boss battle. The locations of the levels are varied, including forest, swamp, ship and others. At the beginning of the game the character has three options for kicking - sideways, up and down. As the game progresses, you can learn other techniques, increase your level and learn magic. Kick Master features a save mode with passwords that are provided to the player after they complete each level.

After you've completed the game it's possible to replay it again, only on a more difficult level. There are a total of three difficulty levels.
