The game for Dendy - Home Alone or "Home Alone", is an arcade action game developed in 1991 based on the popular movie of the same name on various platforms, including the NES.
The plot of the game "Home Alone" is similar to the plot of the comedy film. The player has to control the main character - a boy named Kevin, whose whole family went on vacation to Paris, and he was left alone at home. Two local burglars, Harry and Marvin, have spotted Kevin's house. They are aware that the whole family has left the dwelling and want to burglarize the house, but they did not know that there was one little boy left there. Kevin's main task in the game, is to avoid meetings with the robbers before they are arrested, as well as setting various traps in the way of the bandits.
The gameplay of Home Alone fulfills all the classic requirements of the game of the genre. Kevin can run, crouch and use various objects. The game uses a two-story house with many different rooms as its main location. The player needs to set traps in the house and escape without getting caught by robbers. The traps slow down the robbers for a while, which they can then escape to another room or hide behind some furniture.
The Home Alone game gained a lot of popularity, thanks to the beloved movie of the same name, on the motives of which it was developed. For this reason, the developers released a second installment, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, which formed the Home Alone series of games.
