  • The NES game Galaga is an arcade platform shooter developed in Japan in 1981 for the arcade machine. Galaga is a sequel to the first part, released in 1979, called Galaxian (Galaxy), so it is popularly known as Galaga 2.

    Galaga

Galaga is the same Galaxian, it has the same gameplay and look of the levels. Of course all the details of the game - the space fighter, enemy ships and the background of the universe have undergone not big changes, but in essence, the basic idea of the game and everything else remains the same.

The player controls a space fighter equipped with a variety of weapons that can be upgraded by collecting power-ups from the enemy. Just as in the first part, the enemy ships attack in waves, they line up in a certain structure and after a certain time alternately or simultaneously begin to attack. In Galaga, unlike in the first part, the behavior of enemies has been updated, they now attack not just flying out of formation, but also forming different figures, surrounding the player's fighter, etc.

If you liked the first game, Galaga will definitely like it. Improved graphics, new spaceships and weapons, as well as more interesting enemy behavior make this game a worthy continuation of Galaxian.
