  • The NES game Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: DragonStrike, or "Dragon Strike", is a platform shooter with RPG elements, developed in 1992 specifically for the NES platform. The game was previously released on various other platforms and in contrast to the NES version was more of a RPG than a shooter.

The plot of DragonStrike takes place in the magical world of Krin, in times of war. The protagonist, controlling a dragon, must perform various tasks to resist the forces of darkness.

The gameplay of DragonStrike on NES, as mentioned earlier, differs from the versions of the game for other platforms. The main activity of the player will be shooting and dodging enemy attacks, the only thing that remains similar is the story. Controlling a dragon, you can fight high above the ground with dragons of the enemy or descend low to the ground (water) to attack the ground forces of the enemy. There are a total of fourteen missions in the game, while there were forty on other platforms. Before the game starts, you can choose one of three dragons, which have different characteristics. Despite the fact that DragonStrike is a scrolling shooter, you can freely move around the world in any direction and go back.

On the whole, DragonStrike is not a bad scrolling shooter, it even has a two-player mode. The game has a sequel in two parts, but in other genres, forming the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons series, so it is no doubt recommended to all fans of the genre and the fantasy world.
