The game for NES - CrossFire or "Crossfire", is a platform shooter developed in 1990 in Japan for the Famicom platform. The game was not published in large quantities and for unknown reasons didn't make it to the European market.
The plot of CrossFire, in the late 90's one secret organization decided to conquer world domination. The CIA intercepted this information and sent their special agent, Eric, to prevent the actions of this organization to the rear of the enemy. The task of the agent is to penetrate the enemy bases and destroy them. In total, the secret organization has six bases located in different parts of the world, it is their destruction and must engage the main character.

The gameplay of CrossFire is classic for games of this genre and strongly resembles the gameplay of Contra, but with a slower pace of play, as well as the lack of multiplayer mode. Initially, the player must fight the enemies in hand-to-hand, but then gets different weapons, which can be improved by collecting special bonuses. Also, unlike Contra, in CrossFire the character has several attempts, instead of being killed by the first enemy attack.
On the whole, CrossFire is not a bad enough action game that is recommended to all fans of the genre. The only thing that may disappoint players is the lack of a dual-player mode.
