  • The NES game Choplifter, or Choplifter, is a platform shooter strategy game originally developed in 1982 for Apple 2 computers, and later released on various other platforms, including the NES.

The plot of the game is that you are the pilot of an attack helicopter whose goal is to fly to an enemy base, take hostages and return with them back to your base. Enemy forces, in the form of various vehicles and infantry, attack the player on their way to and from the enemy's base.

The gameplay of Choplifter is quite individual, here you don't just have to fly a helicopter, keeping up with the movement of the screen, and all your movements are not limited. You can just hover over the enemy and fire at him, you can go back towards your base and so on, but the helicopter has a limited amount of fuel, so the scale will have to watch and calculate the fuel to be able to return to your base.

Flying into an enemy base to disarm the hostages, you need to perform a number of actions. Start by shooting at the base to free your comrades, then land to get the hostages loaded into the helicopter. There may be several enemy bases, and the helicopter holds a certain number of people, so in some cases you will have to make several flights. Overall, Choplifter is quite an interesting game, and with a two-player mode, it's fun to play with friends.
