Abadox

The Abadox The Deadly Inner War or Abadox for NES is a platform shooter game with a unique graphic design and complex gameplay.

The plot of the game is set in the distant future, in the year 5012. According to the plot the planet Abadox is eaten by a giant alien organism, which plans to consume other planets. The player is to become a junior lieutenant Nazal, who is the only surviving member of the galactic fleet. Nazal's task is to penetrate into the very depths of the parasitic organism and save Princess Maria.

The gameplay of Abadox meets all the requirements of a shooter of the time. The player can change weapons and choose bonuses, including a movement speed booster, an increase in combat power, and more. Some levels of the game change the scrolling mode from horizontal to vertical, but scrolling down instead of up, which makes the gameplay of Abadox not usual for that time. When the main character is destroyed by the enemy, the player appears at the last control point.

Abadox is an interesting shooter, with its chips and individual gameplay traits, so it deserves the attention of all shooter fans. At the time of release, critics generally evaluated the game positively, the only complaint that puzzled everyone is the complexity of the game. The fact is that the game has a maximum difficulty, which is expressed in death from the attack of opponents. The death of the hero comes from one enemy projectile, which makes the gameplay very difficult, and there is simply no option to reduce the difficulty.
