The NES game 8 Eyes, or "Eight Eyes", is an arcade shooter game developed in 1988, in Japan specifically for the Famicom platform. The game was later re-released for the NES, as well as on PC.
The storyline of 8 Eyes tells of a post-apocalyptic future where humanity is trying to recover from years of chaos from a nuclear war. Human civilization is rebuilt under the guidance of the Great King, using the power of eight gems (8 Eyes). These stones were formed as a result of eight nuclear explosions and carry a secret power. One day, eight dukes from the King's entourage steal these stones and the world is in danger. The player will have to become a warrior named Orin and go in search of all eight stones. Orin has a trusty companion - falcon Cuthrus, who helps him in all situations.
The gameplay of 8 Eyes has all the classic elements of the game genre. The protagonist can run, jump, attack enemies and use the battle falcon in certain situations. The game has a two-player mode, where one player controls Orin and the other falcon. There are a total of eight levels in the game, which can be completed in free order, but to get to the last one, it's still better to stick to the alternate passing.

In general, the game 8 Eyes is very interesting, remotely it reminds Castlevania, here the same dark atmosphere and different evil things. But this comparison is only visually, in fact it is significantly different and gameplay and the general idea.
