Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link

The NES game Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, or "Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link", is an action role-playing game and is a sequel to the first part of The Legend of Zelda, which was released a year earlier.

In the plot of Zelda 2, the protagonist, named Link, must save Princess Zelda from the magical spell of sleep that a wizard has placed on her. Zelda is in the tower of the castle and to remove her spell Link should find an artifact, open the gate to the Great Palace and sacrifice his life to save the princess. The plot is quite large-scale and you can enter into it only after getting acquainted with the plot of the first part in detail.

The gameplay of Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link has changed, and some not for the better, unlike the first part of the game. Of the innovations, it is worth noting that the game has only one type of weapon - the sword, the hero can restore his health only through magic and fairies, and beaten enemies of the bonuses became scarcer than in the first part. Additionally, the world map is now much smaller, and all of the objects on it are marked schematically.

As a whole, Zelda 2 will not impress fans of the first game, but even so, it will still be a fantastic experience for fans of the first game and the genre in general.
