The NES game Dragon Warrior, or Dragon Warrior, is an RPG platformer developed in 1986 in Japan and later re-released in the US. The original Japanese title of the game is Dragon Quest, which translates as "Dragon Quest".
In the plot of Dragon Warrior, the kingdom of Alefgard was attacked by an evil Dragonlord, who kidnapped a princess and hid in some cave. The player will have to control an unknown hero who must find and defeat the Dragonlord in order to rescue the princess from captivity.
The gameplay in Dragon Warrior is fairly straightforward, with the main character moving around the world and making contact with items and characters via action menus. Combat with enemies is done in turn-based mode. Upon defeating the enemies, the hero receives bonus points that can be used to purchase various weapons, as well as develop his skills.
When Dragon Warrior was released, it received a lot of positive reviews and was sold very well. As a result of this success, the game was continued in Dragon Warrior 2 and formed its own series of games. If you like RPGs, Dragon Warrior is definitely worth a look.
