The Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei or Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei for NES is a platformer based on a science-fiction novel, developed in 1987 in Japan for Famicom console and PC.

According to the plot of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, two Japanese high school students - Akemi and Yumiko - battle against the forces of evil that have been summoned by Nakajima. The heroes will have to travel through underground labyrinths, meet various characters, dialogues and turn-based battles with demons.

The gameplay of Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei is traditional for games of this genre (RPG), the hero can move around the dungeon in any direction, enter into dialogues with the encountered NPCs and have turn-based battles with enemies.
