The NES game Chase H.Q. or Taito Chase H.Q. is a racing action game developed in 1988 in Japan for the arcade machine. The game was later ported to various platforms, including the NES.
The plot of the game is simple enough - you play as a policeman, named Tony Gibson, who is a member of a special unit and travels with a partner in a sports car on the roads, in search of criminals. Before each task the player is given a dossier of the criminal, with a description and characteristics of his car, this car must be found and detained.
The gameplay of Chase H.Q. is not standard for races, here you must not just catch up with the criminal, but also do it in time. If while driving you will constantly bump into obstacles or other vehicles that get in the way, you will not have time to catch up with the offender and he will escape. In addition, along the way there are forks, having turned in the wrong direction you will spend more time on the road, and turning in the right direction will save time.
There are five levels in the game that have different decorations, to catch the criminal his car must be rammed several times. The player's car has turbo acceleration, but it can be used no more than three times per mission. Overall, Chase H.Q. is quite a dynamic and beautiful game, which is recommended to all fans of racing on NES.
