FakeNES GT is an excellent NES emulator for running games on Mac OS devices. The emulator supports running NES and Famicom games, is open-source, and has live developer support.
Installation is done in a standard way, like with other emulators: download the emulator archive, unpack it, run the program, and open the ROM with the game.
