The NES game Stack-Up, or "Stack", is a logic arcade game developed in 1985, part of the "R.O.B." series, pre-programmed to be played with a special accessory for the console (a robot). Stack-Up was released almost simultaneously with Gyromite, but despite the same series, the games are completely different.
Stack-Up, in addition to the robot, came with a set of special blocks of different colors that the robot could grab with its "claws." It also features the characters (the protagonists) from Gyromite, Professor Hector and his henchman Vector. The player must assemble the stack of blocks exactly as they appear on screen, causing the robot to follow the commands set by the blocks.
You can also play Stack-Up without a robot using a second joystick, but of course, the experience was only possible with the dedicated accessory (the robot). Stack-Up was the end of the R.O.B. series of games designed for the accessory (robot) before it had even begun. At that time, a lot of worthwhile games from other manufacturers were released, which is probably why the developers considered further development of the project not promising.
In any case, Stack-Up is noteworthy, because you certainly haven't seen such games, and especially the robot-like console accessory, in your childhood.
