The NES game Q*bert is a logic arcade game, or simply a puzzle game made in the style of pseudo-3D graphics and originally implemented on slot machines.
Q*bert, or Kubert, is the game's main character, a rounded creature with a tube-shaped nose. The character was originally developed for another game and was supposed to shoot from his nose. Levels of the game consist of pyramids assembled from dice. Kubert can move around the pyramid by jumping from cube to cube. The main task of the player - to repaint all the cubes of the pyramid, just jumping on them. The task is complicated by enemies in the form of various balls, snakes, etc., they also jump on the pyramid and interfere with the player, if the player encounters an enemy, the character loses his life. Some enemies repaint the dice back and the player needs to get to them again. With each level the difficulty of the game increases, Kubert needs to jump on the dice not once, but twice or more to repaint them.
In Q*bert you don't just have to think fast, you have to act fast. On each level of the pyramid, there are spinning disks on either side of the pyramid, and jumping on them takes your character to the top of the pyramid. Two-player mode allows you to take turns competing, with the winner being the one with the most points. In addition to the NES, Q*bert has been released on various other consoles and has gained a lot of popularity. The game has been mentioned many times in various comic books, animated series and other games. Q'bert is no ordinary puzzle game and because of this alone deserves the attention of all fans of the genre.
