The Dr. Mario or "Dr. Mario" game for NES, is a logic platformer developed in Japan. The game is similar to the well-known Tetris, only it has a slightly different gameplay in any way, except the main character is not related to the famous game series Super Mario Bros.

The main character of the game, Mario, is presented as a doctor who fights germs.The goal of the game is to match the pills to each other so that the sides match in color. If at least four matches in a row horizontally or vertically, the row completely disappears and brings the player points. With the help of these pills it is necessary to destroy microbes that are chaotically located on the playing field (in the test tube). The pills are matched to the color of the microbe and lined up in order to destroy it along with the microbe.

Before starting Dr. Mario you can adjust the difficulty, which depends on the number of microbes and the speed of flight of the pills. The gameplay supports a two-player mode where you compete simultaneously on a vertically split screen.
