The NES game Binary Land is an arcade puzzle game originally developed in 1984 for NSX computers, and later re-released on the NES.
At first glance, Binary Land resembles the game Adventures of Lolo, it has the same overhead camera view and somewhat similar playing field, but it is only at first glance, the gameplay here is completely different. The protagonists of the game are a couple of penguins in love - Gurin and Malon, that have to reunite in order to pass the level. Levels are mazes, and the player controls two penguins, which perform the same actions, only in the opposite (mirror) reflection. To win, it is necessary to bring both penguins to the heart closed in the cage.
In addition to having to bypass various fences (maze walls), the player is hindered by enemies - spiders who not only can attack the characters themselves, but also know how to place a web. Confused in the web character can be saved by a second penguin with a spray. The game becomes more difficult as you play through, due to the complexity of the maze itself, as well as the speed of movement and the number of spiders.
On the whole, Binary Land is not a bad logical game in which you can spend your time with pleasure. Frustrating, of course, the lack of a two-player mode, but the gameplay does not allow to implement such a game, so on this account there can be no complaints to the developers.
Binary Land.
