The Little Mermaid game for NES is an arcade platformer based on the Disney animated series of the same name. The plot of the game tells the story of the mermaid Ariel, after her transformation into a person. It seems that the story should be over since Ariel has found love, but the witch Ursula continues to make insidious plans to take over the underwater kingdom. Ariel is forced to turn herself into a mermaid and set out to save her kingdom and all its inhabitants.
The mermaid uses her tail as a weapon, waving it to form a small vortex of air bubbles. The enemies are a variety of sea creatures: fish, squids, octopuses, crabs and more. There are a total of six levels in the game, in the end of each of which a boss battle awaits you. The levels include such locations as a sunken ship, an underwater volcano, a castle and others. In the course of the levels you can collect a variety of bonuses, which are usually hidden in the chest and to open the chest in it to throw a shell or push a barrel. These bonuses not only restore health, they also improve your weapon's range and strenght.
The Little Mermaid is a very good arcade game with beautiful graphics and appropriate music, as well as good gameplay, so the game is worth the attention of all fans of the genre.
