The Lion King

The Lion King, or The Lion King, is a platform arcade game based on the Disney cartoon of the same name and released on various popular consoles of the time.

The plot of the game "The Lion King" is based on the plot of the cartoon, the main character has to pass various tests, grow up and defeat the main enemy - his evil uncle, who killed his father and seized power in the kingdom. In addition to the official NES version, a pirate version of Lion King for NES was released in Europe the same year, with improved graphics and redesigned some levels.

The Lion King's gameplay is implemented as a standard arcade game and is very similar to Disney’s Aladdin. The player will have to control the main character - Simba the lion, the first levels as a cub, and then as an adult lion. In the first stages Simba can roar, jump and cling to platforms, the enemies are various small animals (chameleons, dicabrazas) and insects. You can defeat enemies by jumping on them from above, as well as "freeze" them for a while growling. Further Simba becomes an adult lion and can use the paw attack in addition to jumping and roaring, and the enemies are more serious at the levels.
