  • The game for NES is Super Mario Bros. 2 or simply Mario 2, is an arcade platformer and is a sequel to the first part of Super Mario Bros.

The gameplay of the second part has undergone significant changes. Whereas in the first part, Mario destroyed enemies by jumping on top of them, in Mario 2, bouncing on top doesn't destroy the enemy, but simply allows them to avoid being attacked. To attack enemies, Mario and the other characters use various objects that are thrown at enemies. Oh yes, the characters are now four: Mario, Luigi, Peach (the mushroom) and Toad (the princess). You can choose any of the four before starting the game, all characters have their own unique abilities. From the previous part there is still a bonus "Star", by taking it you can simply shoot down enemies while running.

You can also use the "Star" bonus.

This global change in gameplay in Super Mario Bros. 2 is due to the fact that this game was originally developed not as a unique product, and was remade from another game. Despite such surprises, Mario 2 was favorably received by gamers and critics, as a result of which it gained not bad ratings and was re-released on various other platforms.

On the whole, about Super Mario Bros. 2 is not the first Mario you expect to see, but despite this, the atmosphere of the first part is present and the improved graphics and music design causes only positive emotions. The only thing that may be disappointing is the lack of a two-player mode, which was in the first part.
