Super Mario Bros. is one of the most popular games in the world. It became a bestseller after its release, and Mario even became a symbol of Nintendo.

The plot of the game is that Mario, or Luigi, goes in search of a princess who must be freed from the captivity of the evil turtle king. The main characters in the game are Mario, the plumber, and his brother Luigi, who can be played as a second player. The objective is to pass through the Mushroom Kingdom bypassing or destroying all enemies and rescuing the princess by defeating the turtle king Koopa.

Super Mario Bros is an arcade platformer. Players must jump on top of enemies to destroy or immobilize them. As a bonus, players can collect coins and other items, such as magic mushrooms and fire flowers. The orange mushroom increases Mario’s size and turns him into Super Mario while the fire flower gives characters the ability to shoot fire. The star is a bonus which makes characters temporarily indestructible.
