  • The NES game Moon Crystal, or "Moon Crystal", is an arcade platformer which was originally developed in Japan for the home computer and called Hect, and was later re-released on the NES.

The plot of Moon Crystal tells the story of a certain moon crystal and the adventures of a boy who is trying to save his family from the captivity of an evil necromancer. One night the Count Necromancer and his minions come to the main character's family home and kidnap the family in order to take possession of the magical moon crystal that was in his father's possession.

In the game, the main character's family is kidnapped by the Count Necromancer and his minions.

The gameplay of Moon Crystal is quite comfortable and classic for the arcade genre. The main character can run, jump, cling to and climb over ledges on various platforms. The weapon of choice initially is a knife, but as you progress through the game you'll be able to find swords and other weapons in the chests within the level locations.

Moon Crystal was published when the popularity of the NES platform was dying out, so it was not re-released in the US and Europe, as well as on other platforms. The game was limited edition, but in spite of this fact it was not a bad review by critics and critics, who noted its quality graphics and gameplay. Due to its rarity, Moon Crystal has become a collector's item on the Japanese market.
