The NES game Kid Kool, or in full Kid Kool and the Quest for the Seven Wonder Herbs, is an arcade platformer whose protagonist character is based on a famous Japanese young actor named Kenji Sagara.
In the game's plot, the protagonist is tasked with saving the king from illness. To do so, he has to gather seven different rare herbs located in different parts of the world and get them in a set amount of time. The gameplay of Kid Kool reminds Mario, but it is more difficult, because the hero can accelerate a lot, and you need to control his jumps. Enemies can be destroyed by jumping from above, and you can also use your pocket friend, a kind of small creature that you can throw.
In the course of the game with the count of time there is a change of day and night, in addition, on the time spent on the passage of the game depends and the final ending. The endings are three in total - if you're long in the game, the hero gets a bag of gold from the king, and if you're fast in the game, the king gives you a bag of gold and a high rank in the kingdom. And if you complete the game as quickly as possible, you get a treasure chest, a princess to marry and an inheritance to the royal throne.
