In the plot of Gremlins 2: The New Batch, after the events of the first part of the movie, the protagonist Billy and his fiancée Kate move to New York and work there in the science lab of a large company. One day, after the death of one of the company's employees, Gizmo's mogwai goes missing from the lab. Evil gremlins at this time somehow got loose again and bring chaos to New York. The player will have to control the escaped Gizmo and overcome various obstacles in order to escape from the lab, get to the gremlins' control center and destroy them.

In the early stages of the game, Gizmo is armed with a genetically modified tomato that can be hurled at your enemies. In later stages, other new weapons can be discovered, and in the final levels a bow for shooting matches appears. Overall, Gremlins 2 is a fun arcade game, even though it's designed around the plot of a horror movie.
