The NES game, Donald Land or "Donaldland", is an arcade platformer developed in Japan. The game is based on the concept and style of the Mc Donald's fast food restaurant chain, but is not related to M.C. Kids or other similar games.
In the plot of the game McDonald's comrades have been kidnapped, during the game Donald (Ronald) meets his comrades occasionally, but they behave inadequately and attack him. The protagonist must figure out what happened to his friends and bring them back to normal.
The gameplay of Donald Land follows all arcade parameters, the character can run, jump and attack enemies. As a weapon, Donald uses exploding apples, which he throws in an arc-shaped trajectory and must be able to hit the enemy. There are hamburger tokens scattered throughout the levels as bonus points, and hearts can be found to replenish lives.
After the second level, the game becomes more difficult, the player has to jump over chasms more often and it becomes just as difficult to get to the power-ups. Overall, Donald Land is a playable arcade game that is fun to play, although the bosses in the game are far from fun, and resemble characters from horror movies.
