The NES game Bubble Bobble, or "Bubble and Bobble", is an arcade platformer developed in 1986 in Japan for arcade machines, and later imported to other platforms, including the NES.
In Bubble Bobble the player controls a dragon as it moves from level to level picking up fruity power-ups and eliminating enemies. The dragon can jump and burst bubbles instead of flames to immobilize your enemies. The enemies are robots that run around the level platforms and try to catch the player. In addition to fruit that can be knocked out of enemies, the player can collect randomly appearing items on the levels. Random bonuses contribute additional skills, such as speeding up movement and shooting bubbles.
On release, Bubble Bobble received quite a few positive reviews from critics and players, which made it very popular and led not only to its release on various platforms, but also to the development of the second part Bubble Bobble Part 2. Overall, Bubble Bobble is a pretty fun game, and the two-player mode makes it more interesting, if you like moving arcade games, you will definitely like this game.
